New Tab Page
Previously to get the New Tab Page with Speed Dial, you had to do a bit of tweaking with about:config. Now, just click the plus button to open a new page and you’ll see a list of recent and most frequently visited sites. Left click and hold the mouse button to arrange the sites in any order you want.
Or pin a site to its current location by pressing the tack icon. Or, to remove a site, click the X button.
New Firefox Homepage
Along with the New Tab Page, Firefox 13 has a cool new homepage too. After the update to Firefox 13, you should see the new homepage by default. If you don’t see it, click the Firefox button » Options » General. Then click the Restore to Default button. Click OK.
Click the Home icon on the Awesome Bar and you’ll see the new page. At the bottom of the new home page there are icons that make Firefox easier to navigate.
There were a number of minor improvements made to the browser as well. Some of the new features are said to make browsing faster and that it will take less memory on your system. Of course Mozilla says that with every new Firefox version. I just downloaded it and will test out those claims. You can get a full list of the features on the Firefox Notes page. What about you guys? Have you tested out the new version? If so, leave us a comment and tell us about your experience. Firefox 13 is like Opera without the little annoyances that have always bugged me. I might switch to this from Chrome. Comment Name * Email *
